Volunteer Activities On-site at TASK and STSK
Meal service at TASK – Help prepare
and/or serve a meal at TASK. Children must
be 13 years of age or older.
Choose one of the nine possible serving times: Mon-Fri,
10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and Mon-Thurs, 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM
(volunteers can arrive as late as 3:30 PM).
TASK is closed
on weekends.
We can
use as many as 12 volunteers at a time, either as
individuals, from a single group or any combination.

Be sure to include the number of people coming
with you, whether you prefer the mid-day meal or
dinner, and your telephone number.

On the serving line...
Meal service at the South Trenton
Soup Kitchen (STSK) - Help serve meals at STSK. Children must be 13 years
of age or older.
At the STSK in the First Baptist Church on Centre Street, dinner is
served three nights per week: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from
5:00 to 6:30 p.m (volunteers can arrive as late as 4:30 PM).
At the STSK in the
Divine Mercy Church on Arch Street, dinner is served
one night per week: Thursdays from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.
We can use as many as 6 volunteers
at a time, either as individuals, from a single group
or any combination. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator

Tutor in our Adult Education Program – Individuals
work one-on-one with our students.
Tutoring hours are
Monday through Friday from 9 to 11 AM and Monday through
Thursday from 2-4 PM The minimum commitment for tutors
is one session every two weeks.

Support our Computer Center – Individuals assist
computer students one or more times a week. Times

Support “Kids Day Off” – When
Trenton schools are closed, we open our Art Room to
children.
The Kids Day Off program offers volunteers younger than
13 the opportunity to work at TASK when accompanied by
an adult.
The activities are unstructured.
They can be as simple or as
complicated as you like.
Just
show up and use TASK materials
-- construction paper,
markers,
paint, glitter, etc. -- OR plan
an arts
and crafts activity,
buy the supplies
and run the
whole
thing from A to Z.
Time frame for this activity is 12 pm. to 1:15 p.m.
whenever the Trenton schools are closed.
