to take patrons to job interviews, medical appointments,
etc. Anyone interested in donating a vehicle, preferably a
minivan, in good working condition please contact Dennis

We are
in need of food donations due to the increasing number of
people coming to TASK for a meal. Delivery hours are Monday
through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and Friday from 8:00am
to 1:00pm.

TASK Cookbook is
Here!
The long awaited TASK Cookbook has finally arrived! It
contains mouth-watering recipes from TASK volunteers,
supporters,
board members, staff , A-TEAM Artists, students, and
patrons. In addition to recipes, the book contains beautiful
artwork in full color from A-TEAM Artists.
It is available for $12 (plus $2.50 shipping and
handling). You can order your cookbook by sending a check,

Last October, Joan Waite of The Unitarian
Universalist Congregation of Princeton (UUCP) performed a
benefit
concert, raising $3,712.71 for TASK. Pictured, Charlie
Parker, UUCP member, and Jim Parker, TASK Board Chair, with

In April 2008, Trentonian Columnist Jeff
Edelstein competed for TASK in a Celebrity Scrabble
Tournament taking place at the Trenton Marriott. Edelstein
played against South Ward Councilman Jim Coston.

In my mind this is what America is all about
Esther came to the United States in December of 2005. She is from
Liberia, where women do not go to school. She became a student in the
TASK Adult Education Program (AEP) in October of 2007. This is her first
school. She is still learning how to read and write, but through the AEP
writer's weekly workshop, she wrote the following essay with some help
from her tutor, Lydia.
