HOPE ON THE HORIZON

SINGLE DOSE VACCINE: A patron (right) receives the single-dose COVID-19 shot from Henry J Austin Health Center staffer on March 11th.

Dear Friends of TASK,

This week marks the one-year anniversary since TASK closed its dining room to patrons and suspended its in-house programming as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the unprecedented challenges during this unique time, TASK is doing more now than ever before.

TASK has served more than 440,000 meals since March 2020. We have also found new, creative ways to offer case management services, adult education courses and job search assistance to help our patrons through these uncertain times. The way we work may have changed, but our dedication is resolute.

There is hope on the horizon. This past week, through our partnership with Henry J. Austin Health Center, TASK hosted its second COVID-19 vaccination clinic for patrons. We hope this marks a turning point in the collective treatment of this disease, but we remain vigilant knowing that the fallout from this pandemic will continue to impact our patrons in many ways for a long time to come.

We are proud to serve the people of Trenton and the greater Mercer County region, and we couldn’t do it without your support. On behalf of TASK, thank you for your contributions, your encouragement and your help. You sustain us.

With gratitude,

Michelle Wexler
Director of Development & Marketing
