Meal Service
TASK serves delicious, nutritious meals to everyone who comes through its doors, no questions asked. We are the only soup kitchen in the Trenton area open 6 days a week, including most holidays.
A meal at TASK is often the first step on the road to leaving hunger behind. It’s how patrons discover a community of friendship and support. It’s the entry point to take advantage of all TASK has to offer.
For hungry families and individuals who can’t make it to our main location, we provide hot meals to more than 50 community meal sites and we also operate a mobile soup kitchen. We serve throughout the city of Trenton as well as places where hunger is more hidden, including Princeton, Lawrenceville, East Windsor, Hightstown and Morrisville in Bucks County, PA. Distributing food through community meal sites is just one example of how TASK partners with religious organizations, schools, community centers and other nonprofits to provide more than 12,000 meals a week and improve the quality of life of those we serve.
Mobile Meals
More meals, more places. That was the goal we set for ourselves on March 18, 2024 – the day we put the TASK Truck on the road for the first time. Since then, the truck has become a staple throughout Trenton, bringing TASK’s signature hot meals directly into neighborhoods across the Capital City that need them most.
The mobile meals program allows TASK to address some of the barriers that prevent people from coming to our Escher Street dining room, including issues like transportation, disability, childcare and even stigma. In 2025, the TASK Truck served more than 80,000 fresh, delicious meals in the city of Trenton.
