Over the fiscal year ending July 2024, TASK’s output surged 27 percent! The agency served 596,454 meals at 40 community meal sites. We also launched a new mobile soup kitchen and marked a sobering milestone – more than 7 million meals served since 1982.

For the past eight years, it has been the highest privilege to be in the driver’s seat here at TASK. Now, it is my turn to hand the wheel over to someone new. I have made the decision to retire at the end of 2024.

Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) is proud to share that on Monday, March 18, it launched the TASK food truck, a mobile meals program offering free, delicious TASK meals at various stops throughout the Capital City.

TASK served nearly half a million meals in 2023 — the most ever in our 42 year history — thanks to your support. The soup kitchen also offered wrap-around care to nearly 4,300 people.

This year, TASK is on track to serve half a million meals – a record-breaking number and a milestone that we couldn’t have reached without the generosity of caring people like you.
