TASK Chef Wins Big!
TASK's head chef, Adam Livow, wins the 2025 David Carleton Catalyst for Change Award

TASK is excited to share that our Director of Culinary Operations, Chef Adam Livow, has been named the 2025 David Carleton Catalyst for Change winner by Catalyst Kitchens!
Chef Adam, who oversees TASK’s kitchen and meal service program, was nominated for this award for his leadership of Emilio’s Culinary Academy, TASK’s culinary training program.
Focused on providing opportunities to non-traditional students who face significant barriers to employment, Emilio’s Culinary Academy provides culinary instruction and hands-on training, as well as assistance through TASK’s case management referrals, soft skills training, job placement assistance and more.
The 10-week course prepares students to pass the ServSafe exam, a necessary credential for work in the restaurant industry, and offers students the chance to put their skills to work in the TASK kitchen.
Catalyst Kitchens, a network of member organizations like TASK who provide workforce development programs focused on culinary training, launched the Catalyst for Change Award in 2015 to shine a spotlight on those dedicating their time, passion, and resources to guide their students toward a successful career path in foodservice.
Says TASK COO Paul Jensen, “Chef Adam stands out for his relentless drive to exceed expectations and innovate. His can-do attitude and willingness to tackle any challenge make him an indispensable leader.”
We think our students and our kitchen would agree! Please join us in congratulating Chef Adam on this much-deserved recognition!
