We at TASK are excited to announce the election of three new members to our Board of Trustees: John Goedecke, Jeff Savlov and Julia Taylor.

John Goedecke is a mortgage banking professional who currently works as a Senior Loan Officer at Northpointe Bank. Goedecke has served as Board Member and Chair for the Princeton Child Development Institute, a Board Member at the Princeton Mercer Chamber of Commerce and President of the Chamber Foundation. He is an avid horse enthusiast and obtained his EAGALA Equine Specialist Certification in 2020.

“I have been so impressed with the continued successes at TASK,” says Goedecke. “Amidst challenges and roadblocks, the staff and board have continued to find solutions and create a community of fellowship,” says Goedecke.

Jeff Savlov is a founding principal at Blum & Savlov, LLP and a longtime volunteer at TASK. In his role, Savlov works with family businesses and family offices on their business and wealth planning needs. Savlov authors a popular blog titled “The Family Business Minute,” and travels throughout the U.S. and internationally speaking on the topic of wealth planning and family dynamics.

“I began volunteering at TASK during the summer of 2008 with my synagogue, The Jewish Center in Princeton, NJ,” says Savlov. “I loved the respectful nature at TASK and how patrons were given a sense of dignity along with their meals – and many other services designed to support self-sufficiency. I’ve gotten to know many of the patrons and staff as well. Joining the board at TASK offers so many ways for me to be part of the impact in the greater Trenton community.”

Julia A. Taylor, AICP, currently serves as Executive Director of The American Graffiti Museum (TAG), a new art and culture destination under development in downtown Trenton. Taylor is a certified city planner who worked for more than 15 years to support the Trenton community in senior leadership roles at Isles and Trenton Health Team before launching TAG. Taylor is also a Board member at the Trenton Downtown Association, former President of Lambertville City Council and current member on Lambertville committees addressing environmental issues and affordable housing.

“After serving on TASK’s Strategic Planning and Program Committees, and collaborating for many years with TASK on important food security and community support initiatives, I am excited to officially join the Board of Trustees for such an impactful organization,” says Taylor.

“TASK is always looking for – and successfully implementing – effective new ways to meet community needs at the macro level while providing empathetic, respectful services to individuals one on one. It is an honor to be part of the TASK team at this exciting time of growth and change.” -Julia Taylor

“John, Jeff and Julia embody the spirit of service that defines TASK,” says TASK CEO Amy Flynn. “Each of them brings a powerful blend of heart, experience and dedication to this community. Their leadership will be key as TASK is called upon to serve even more meals and empower more people as we continue to serve with compassion and purpose.”
