TASK’s Radical Hospitality Coordinator, Anita Rivera, who oversees and manages the dining room, and Case Manager Erykah Jones, who helps to connect people in our community to the resources they need, recently graduated from the prestigious Garden State Leaders program.

TASK’s computer classes help students and jobseekers overcome the digital divide.

“I talk to job seekers about practical things like how to explain gaps in employment, incarceration or other factors by helping them focus on the progress they have made, rather than their mistakes,” said Ulhir.

Founded in 1991 as a literacy program, TASK’s education program has grown to provide a customized approach to address a wide variety of participants’ goals and needs.

Thanks to the generosity of various community partners and donors, TASK has been able to provide a variety of cultural enrichment opportunities for patrons in addition to our weekly arts programming.

For many years, the Creative Arts Program at TASK has been a connection point for people, enriching lives through visual, written and performing arts.

TASK served nearly half a million meals in 2023 — the most ever in our 42 year history — thanks to your support. The soup kitchen also offered wrap-around care to nearly 4,300 people.

This year, TASK is on track to serve half a million meals – a record-breaking number and a milestone that we couldn’t have reached without the generosity of caring people like you.
