On Friday, September 13, TASK hosted our third annual community meal & BBQ to commemorate Hunger Action Month, a time when relief agencies join together to raise awareness about food insecurity, which is surging across the U.S.

This Hunger Action Month, TASK is recognizing a major new milestone: more than 7 million meals served since 1982. Our output has never been higher, and we need your help to do more!

This summer, TASK will bid a fond farewell to Volunteer Coordinator Charlie Orth, who is retiring after a long and gratifying career at TASK.

For the past eight years, it has been the highest privilege to be in the driver’s seat here at TASK. Now, it is my turn to hand the wheel over to someone new. I have made the decision to retire at the end of 2024.

Campbell has led the organization for the past eight years, a period marked by unprecedented growth in the need for TASK’s services.
